Paul Favreau has quit his job to become an old-fashioned private detective. The only problem is he has no idea what he is doing.

He has opened his office in a creaky attic in Soho and his only qualification seems to be an old hat he found in a charity shop.

When mysterious Mrs Wu asks for his help finding her missing husband, Paul is drawn into the shady underworld of London and has to solve the dangerous riddle of his very first case.

He will be chased, punched, and shot at, and he will wonder whether he should have stuck to his day job.
